Another Kiko product that I bought while I was in Rome is the Soft Focus concealer. I really needed a new concealer for under my eyes. I have been using the Rimmel Match Perfection and Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer for a long time and I must say that they're both great. But today I'll tell you about the Soft Focus Concealer.

I got mine in the shade 02. 
I use Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch 02 Nude and Rimmel Match Perfection 010 Ivory for reference.

It has a sleek packaging, feels expensive and sturdy. The cap is secure so I'd carry it in my bag without worrying. I have a real phobia of my make up stuff leaking into my my up bag -or worse- my handbag. So I really only carry things that are in a safe packaging.

Since this is an illuminating concealer, I use it under my eyes. Application is very easy, you press at the back of the packaging just like a ball pen and the concealer will come out. I use the brush at the end directly when I only apply it under my eyes. I must say that the first few applications i got either too little or too much product so it was a little disappointing but then I got the hang of it and started getting the right amount.

I put little dots around my eyes, especially in the inner corners and then gently tap with my ring fingers and pray my dark circles and under eye bags go away. And they kinda do. I mean, there's only so much that a concealer can do on its own. If you get a colour corrector and then a concealer you'd surely get more results but I must say I like the results this concealer gives in under a minute, and they prep me up for a nice start for the day ahead.

The thing I'd like to mention the most about this product is that, it has a powdery, matte finish. Once it starts drying, it's almost like it has a powder on it. Which is great, because you normally want to apply powder over your concealer so it stays where it is. With this one, I don't really feel the need to powder on a daily basis and it stays put. If it's July and you're going to be out and about, powder. But if you're going to work at 8 am and you're going to be in an air conditioned plaza for 9 hours, don't. That's how I do anyway. But I must also say that not everyone would like this feature as because of the powdery finish it has, it tends to go inside the fine lines around the eyes. If you have wrinkles around your eyes, you'd like to go for something more dewy, something that doesn't settle inside your fine lines.

Other than that, this is the concealer I use daily and I'm really happy that I'll spend the summer with it! ~

Oncelikle cok saglam ve zengin gorunen bir kabi oldugunu soylemeliyim. Ayrica kapagi da cok saglam, boylece hic gerilmeden makyaj cantama koyabiliyorum. Ben her zaman makyaj cantama koydugum seylerin kapaginin duzgun kapanip kolay acilmiyor olmasina dikkat ederim cunku makyaj cantama ya da normal cantama makyaj malzemesi akmasindan oldukca korkuyorum.

It's really, really hard for us women to not be influenced by all these beauty Youtubers and Bloggers and their massive, giant make up collections. I remember myself watching those videos when this trend just started 6-7 years ago and I was shocked to see that people have HUGE chest of drawers dedicated to make up. I was like "I must be a loser because I don't have this much make up. Hell, I don't even have any Mac products!" I, too, wanted to have an IKEA Alexa drawer unit FILLED with make up. At that age it was very understandable that I felt that way. But now I can see that, it's not a healthy pursuit, and it's not doable if you're not making money from it.

Most of those people with drawers filled with all kinds of make up stuff are either making a lot more money from them by showing them on Youtube, or wearing them on Instagram or they're making tutorials with them, or they're make up artists and they need them. Whatever the reason is, we, as normal people, don't need that much make up.

I must admit that at some point I lost track and I had way more than what I need. I still do. But I gave most of my make up away or put them into trash, and I'll share how I did it. But first I wanted to give you an idea how I got to this point.

It is so very easy to buy make up

• because it looks pretty on someone else,
• because the packaging is pretty and you know it's going to look good in your make up collection,
• because it is limited edition
• because it's on sale
• because it is hyped up on the internet

etc.

None of these is a good enough reason to buy that product. You have one face.




Learn to love yourself, and your face. 

Make up can make you look flawless, but it's not healthy to wear make up every day. Especially foundation. People who have great skin are wearing foundation just because other people do. I hate to see so many young girls smearing all that make up on their faces every day, thinking they need it. And I can tell you that men can tell if you're wearing layers of foundation, and most men don't like heavy make up. JSYK.

Wearing less make up for some time will make you realize that you don't need all these make up products. You don't need 10 foundations in your collection. You don't need 15 concealers. Just find the right shade and coverage, and buy 1 or 2. (Depending on where you'll wear them. Eg. special events call for more coverage and daily make up requires far less.)

Look at your make up collection and see if it really is ridiculously big.

Count your make up stuff. Start with the ones that go bad and you should change every 3-6 months. For examples, I don't think it is normal to have more than 1 or 2 mascaras open at the same time, because you should get rid of them every 6 months or so. If you have 10 more, ask yourself WHY did you but 10 mascaras? And then ask if you really need 10 mascaras. If you can justify having them, cool. If not, pick a favourite and pick one that you really want to try, then give the rest to a friend.

Look at your foundations. How many do you have? You have one from 'that brand' and you can't justify giving it away but it doesn't suit you? It makes you look cakey? Don't hold on to it, give it away!
You have two separate foundations, one is lighter and one is darker, and you mix them just to get the perfect shade? Who do you think you are, Bob Ross? With all the make up brands and options out there, if you can't find the perfect shade and formula, shame on you. Of course there's nothing wrong with doing it but I must say I find it quite pretentious to mix foundations, especially on a daily basis.
You have a foundation that you love but it's 2 years old? Time really goes by. You need to get rid of it.

Do you have any products that gone bad?
Liquid products go bad more quickly than powder ones. So you liquid lipsticks, foundations, concealers etc, if they smell weird or look weird, please get rid of them.

Look at all the make up products that don't suit you.
So you bought that nude lipstick that makes you look dead. Why are you still keeping it? Give it to someone who can actually use it. You have that chunky glitter eyeshadow that keeps getting inside your eyes whenever you wear it, but you still keep it. Don't worry, I do too. But we really shouldn't. It might have looked great on that Youtuber, but , oh well...

Follow the trends, but don't go crazy.

For example, the highlighter craze that's going on now. I'm pretty sure a normal person shouldn't be able to finish a full size highlighter in her lifetime. Try to go for sample sizes of such things, or look for sets and kits. This way you'll only have one product that consist of many products, and in sizes that you can actually finish.

Put all your make up in the same place.
Of course you'll have a make up bag to carry your make up with you, but other than that, keep your make up in the same place. This will help you see and keep track of your collection all the time. So you're not going to think if you really have a cobalt blue eyeliner at home while you're at Sephora. While putting all your make up in the same place, you'll find a chance to go through all your make up.

Keep the better one of the dupes.
If you have duplicate products, I mean the exact same products but from different brands. Keep the one you like more and give the other one to a friend. If both of them are the same, keep the one with the better brand, or the one you bought more recently. If you put all your make up in the same place, it'll be easier for you to see.

I know that make up world is really tempting. I know it's quite irresistible sometimes. But if you think twice before you buy a new product, you'll see that you can save money for better things. More expensive things. For example, don't buy 4 more highlighters just because everybody does, and save your money to buy a really expensive foundation that'll give you that airbrushed effect.

Of course this decluttering can be applied to other parts of your life with quite similar rules. Your wardrobe, your kitchenware, your stationary etc. Keeping a fairly controlled amount of stuff makes it easier to see what you have, and makes you less overwhelmed. Thus, you actually end up using only the things you love! And these words are coming from a hoarder. I still am working on that. I am by no means a minimalist, I own waaay to many stuff to be one and I'm not planning to be one in the foreseeable future. This is just an advice for people who are spending waaay to much money than necessary on make up, without actually making a profit out of it, just because they look up to people who make profit of the make up they own.

Bugün Sephora'larda Benefit'in bazı ürünleri %50 indirimdeydi. Bu ürünlerin içinde uzun zamandır denemek istediğim Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow fondöten de vardı ve kaçırmadan aldığım için çok mutluyum. Bu haberi her gün takip ettiğim Hersheyler'den öğrendim.




Gitmişken sadece fondöten almak olmaz dedim, ve yine çıktığından beri göz koyduğum go Tropicoral seti ve 3 tane de oje aldım. Bir de sağolsunlar Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua tester'ı aldım, orada da denedim ve muhtemelen bu sıradaki fondötenim o olacak.


Fondötenin içinden bir de porefessional tester'ı çıktı. Zaten elimde olan bir ürün ama yine de güzel düşünülmüş. 

 Ojeler soldan sağa: Jade is the new black, German-icure by Opi ve çok sevgili arkadaşım Buse'ye aldığım Russian Navy. Russian Navy benim yıllarca göz koyduğum ama Türkiye'de bulamadığım, ve Amerika'da Katie'den hediye olarak aldığım bir ojeydi... Kısmet bu gün Sephora'da bulmak ve arkadaşıma almakmış :)

 Bu da yeni bebeğim. İçinde high beam, cha cha tiny, coralista allık ve coralista lip gloss var. Ürünlere bakıldığında fiyatını gerçekten çok uygun buluyorum.

2014'e girene kadar makyaj koleksiyonuma eklemek istediğim ürünlerin bir listesini yapayım dedim. Hepsini çok istiyorum ama işte PARA PARA PARA diyorum ve listeye geçiyorum.
I wanted to list the products tht I want to add to my make up collection until 2014. I want all of them really badly but MONEY MONEY MONEY, as they say.

1- İlk sırada çok uzun zamandır istediğim (hala da istiyorum halbuki, böyle blog yazınca sanki almışım sandım kendimi) Mac 217 fırça. Bu blending brush tabiki bir efsane, ama o kadar göz fırçam varken 62 TL buna vermeyi bi türlü kendime yediremedim amaa alcam.
1- First in the line is Mac 217. Yes, it is a classic but I don't have it.  This blending brush is supposed to be amazing, but I just couldnt justify myself spending that much money on a blending brush when I have a lot of eyeshadow brushes. But I will. Promise.

2-Mac'ten başladım öyle devam edeyim. Önümüzdeki 8745832 sene yeni bir fara kesinlikle ihtiyacım yok  ama sözde renk değiştirme özelliği için bu farı kesinlikle denemek istiyorum. Ve tabii almak. Kendisi Woodwinked. Fiyatı 50 tl.
2- Since I started out with MAC, the second item on the list should also be Mac: Woodwinked. I do not and will not need any eyeshadows for the next 8745832 years, but because it is supposed to change colours when blended, I really want to try this. And buy it.

3- Bundan tam olarak emin olmasam da, denemek istediğim bir ürün: Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage. Özellikle sivilce ya da yüzdeki yara vs izlerini kapama konusunda oldukça başarılı olduğunu duydum. Yapısı sert olduğu için de gün içinde dağılma vs yapmıyor-muş. Bobbi Brown kapatıcım bitince benim olacak bebek bu sanırsam ^^
3- I'm not really sure with this one but I do want to try it out. Especially for concealing acne scarring and acne itself, this is supposed to be really good. Since it is a hard formula, it is not supposed to budge or smudge or vanish during the day. After my Bobbi Brown is gone, I think I will get this baby^^
4-  Bir önceki ürün göz altına kullanmak için çok da uygun olmadığından, ve ben bu yaşıma kadar (22) hiç spesifik olarak göz altı kapatıcısına para vermediğimden bunu almayı kendime haklı çıkarıyorum: Clinique Airbrush kapatıcı. Tabiki sadece göz altına uygulanmıyor, o yüzden denediğimde memnun kalırsam belki 3. ürünü iptal edip herşey için Airbrush'ı alabilirim ama lekeleri vs ne kadar iyi kapattığına ve kalıcılığına bağlı. Yani her halükarda bunu Secret Camouflage'dan önce alacağım.
4- Since number 3 is not really suitable for undereye use, and I have never bought a concealer specifically for my eyes, I justify buying this: Clinique Airbrush Concealer. It is of course not limited with eyes, so I might end up eliminating 3 from the list but I should test the staying power and concealing power of this one first. So, logically, I will get the Clinique one before Laura Mercier one.

5- Vee listede son ürün YSL Volupte Sheer Candy Ruj. Renk olarak da Succulent Pomegranate'i seçtim. Ysl Glossy Stain (burada yorumu var aldıktan sonra ne zamandır bir YSL dudak ürünü daha almak istiyordum ama bir türlü sıra gelmiyor işte. Güzelliğinden hiç şüphem yok, belki renk konusunda fikir değiştirebilirim.
5- And the last product on the list is YSL Volupte Sheer Candy. And the colour I want is Succulent Pomegranate. After getting YSL Glossy Stain (review here)I wanted to get another lip product by YSL but it just never happened. But it will. Hopefully.

Bundan yaklaşık bir sene önce, artık fondöten işine girmeye karar verdim ama cildim akneye meyilli olduğu için bir türlü cesaret edip normal bir markanın fondötenini alamadım. Oldukça da pahalı oldukları için ya cildim daha kötü olursa bi de içim kan ağlar sonra diye düşünüp almamıştım. Sonra bir gün devamlı gittiğim eczanedeki bayan bak yeni makyaj ürünleri geldi tamamı organik falan gibi bişeyler dedi ben de hadi bari bi deniyim dedim. Önce kremini denedim, pul pul oldu beğenmedim. Sonra likidini denedim, baya beğendim (gece olmasının da faydası var sanırsam :D). Yok Hollywood yıldızları falan da kullanıyormuş içeriği çok güzelmiş falan filan. Her neyse ben dedim artık aliyim bari napiyim gece gece bu kadar ısrara karşı gelemicem, hem organik hem eczanede satıldığına göre bişey yapmaz, diğer markalardan da içerik olarak evladır diye aldım. Fiyatı içime oturmadı mı, oturdu. 120 lira verdim bu fondötene. Kapatıcılığı için orta seviyeli diyebilirim, üzerine iki fondöten daha aldım henüz onları devamlı kullanmadığım için gerçekten kıyaslayamayacağım, ama üzerine pudra bile kullanmadığım halde kalıcılığı iyi, kapatıcılığı her gün kullanmak için ideal, e cilde bir zararı da yok aksine vitamin vs var içinde o da bir gönül rahatlığı sağlıyor. Her neyse ben bunu nerdeyse bir senedir baya kullanıyorum artık iyice azaldı bilmiyorum ne kadar daha gider ama yeniden alabilirim, (diğer iki fondötenden memnun kalmazsam ya da onları bitirince :D).
Aslında diğer ürünlerini de denemek isterim ama, bakalım kısmet, oldukça pahalılar.

Gördüğünüz gibi ben  514 numarasını kullanıyorum, deneyerek seçtim %98 uyuyor cilt tonuma, biraz daha açık olsa daha iyi olurdu.

Bu ay parfum olarak The Body Shop'un Love ETC.. sini kullandim en cok. Hafif ve cok guzel kokuyor. Fakat havalarin biraz daha serinlemesiyle ayin son 2 gunu baska bir parfume odaklandim o da muhtemelen Agustos favorilerinde olacak.
Body Spray olarak da Victoria's Secret'tan Lost in Fantasy'yi cok cok kullandim. Bu urunlerin en guzel ozellikleri asla ve asla azalmamalari. Bunu neredeyse her gun en az 6-7 kere fislamak (?) suretiyle birkac kez kullaniyorum ve ancak bu kadar azaldi. Cok farkli kendine ozgu bir kokusu var ve Love ETC'yi uzerine siktigimda bir sorun olmuyor.

This month I used Love ETC from the Body Shop a lot. It is light and lovely. For the body spray, I can say I concentrated on lost in fantasy from Victoria's secret. It is very distinct, different scent, but goes well with love etc... And although I used it everyday it doesnt seem to go away AT ALL, and that's always a good thing.

Goz makyaji icin ise en cok bu 3 urunu kullandim. Far cok az kullandim o yuzden favori bir urun gosteremeyecegim. Bobbi Brown'in Sepia Ink jel eyeliner'ini Black ink'e tercih ettim. Siyahtan daha az iddiali/goze batan bir renk oldugu icin far kullanmadigim zamanlarda ozellikle onu seciyorum. Yazisi burada. Altina da Make up for ever'in lacivert kalemini suruyorum boylece hic ugrasmamis oluyorum ama yine de bu cart lacivertin goze katkisi inanilmaz! Yazisi burada. Goz makyajini tamamlamak icin Avon Supershock maskara kullandim. Onun da yazisi burada.

Dudak urunu hic ama hic kullanmadim cunku dudaklarim hayatimda hic olmadigi kadar kuru. Tek kullandigim ve her zamanki favorim blistex Med plusti bu ay.

I never ever used any lip products this month as my lips are drier than ever. Only my precious blistex medplus.

Son zamanlarda fazla kozmetik alisverisi yapmiyorum. Onceden aldigim seyleri yeniden kesfetmeye, "shopping the stash" yapmaya ozen gosteriyorum. Fakat Kiehl's alisverislerinden birinde testerini aldigim bu BB cream'i almadan duramadim ^^.  Daha once baska bir BB cream kullanmadigim icin kiyaslama yapamayacagim. O yuzden sadece bundan bahsedecegim.

Oncelikle BB cream'in benim cildim icin cok yetersiz olacagini, bu yuzden gereksiz oldugunu dusunuyordum. Bazen fondoten surup, bazen hicbirsey surmuyorum. Cunku fondoteni agir buluyorum. BB cream'de boyle bir sorun olmuyor, sanki yokmus gibi. Yuzumde nemlendirici hissi veriyor. Cildimde kuru bolgeler olsa da putur putur olmuyor. Yuzumde cok fazla sivilce lekesi ve izi olmasina ragmen kapaticiligi da gunluk kullanim icin cok cok yeterli. Eger eski cildim olsa -sivilceli ve kabarik- boyle birsey kullanmazdim. Ama o zamanlar zaten hicbirsey kullanmiyordum.

Tek eksisi fiyatina gore alinan urun miktari -80 tl 30ml- ama urun kesinlikle az miktarla cok is goruyor. Yani butun yuzum icin 3 minik -bezelyeden kucuk- nokta kullaniyorum. Yagli ciltlerde kesinlikle gun icinde pudralamak gerekiyor, ama pudranizi da yaninizda tasiyin bi zahmet cok problem degil. Ben umursamiyorum, zaten cildim artik cok yagli degil, biraz T bolgesinde parlama oluyor o da adam oldurmez.

Kisacasi, bu BB cream e bayildim, baska arayislara girecegimi dusunmuyorum. Hatta artik -muhtemelen yaz olmasi sebebiyle- fondoten ozel gunler disinda kullanmiyorum bile. Bu ve biraz kapatici yetiyor da artiyor bile. Fondotenin aksine bu BB cream yuzumu aydinlatiyor. Garip bi cumle biliyorum ama zahmet edip gidip testerini alirsaniz ne dedigimi anlarsiniz^^


I havent been buying cosmetics recently. I have been trying to stop my stash. But when they gave me a tester of this beautiful BB cream at one of my recent Kiehl's visits, I couldnt resist. Since i havent used a BB cream before, I cant make any comparison, so I'll only comment on this one. 

First, I thought that BB cream would not be enough for my skin. I sometimes used foundation, but usually used nothing on my face, because i find foundation heavy. This feels like moisturizer on my face, nothing more. If I have dry patches, it causes no problem. Even though I have many acne scarring and leftover marks, i find this enough on daily basis. If my face was as it was used to, full of acne and bumps, I would not buy such a thing. But I refused to use anything back then. 

If your face is extremely oily, you better carry a powder with you. It is no big deal.  My face is not oily anymore, I just get shiny on the T zone area during the day -probably since it is summer time- and I do not care.

I love love loveee this BB cream. I dont think I will ever look for another one. I dont use foundation in summertime, so just this and a concealer are fine. The BB cream lightens my face in a strange but lovely way. I know it does not mean anything, but you'd understand if you go pick up a tester ^^

Bu urunu %50 indirimdeyken Sephora'dan 50TL'ye almistim. Ustun matematik yeteneklerim bana normal fiyatinin 100 TL oldugunu soyluyor. Yani cok pahali degil ama ucuz da degil. Tekrar alir miyim? Zannetmiyorum cunku Chanel Dior vs denemek istedigim bir suru fondoten var ve ben ozellikle yazin cok cok az fondoten kullaniyorum. Ozellikle Kiehl's in BB kreminden sonra resmen hic kullanmiyorum. Ama ciltle uyumu oldukca iyi olan, sivilceye yatkin cildim olmasina ragmen bende herhangi bir sorun yaratmayan, hafif, kaliciligi da oldukca iyi olan bir fondoten ariyorsaniz bunu denemekte fayda var.
Benim icin eksi yani, hala daha cilt gibi duran bir fondoten bulabilecegime inaniyor olmam. BB kremin cilde uyumuyla fondoteninki bir olmuyor tabii ki, sonucta fondoten daha fazla kapaticilik sagliyor ama ben daha dogal bi gorunumu daha fazla kapaticiliga tercih edebilirim sanirim. Yanlis anlasilma olmasin, oldukca sevdigim bir urun ve muhtemelen yaz bitince BB krem ile bunu esit oranda kullanacagim, ama sadece ben zaten fazla fondoten seven biri degilim, o yuzden nadiren kullaniyorum.

I dont use much foundation in the summer, especially after discovering Kiehl's Bb cream, I can say that I never used this. It hasnt caused any breakouts on my skin even though I have acne prone skin. It looks quite natural on the skin, and lasts quite long. It is also light.

The negative side for me is that I still believe that I can find a foundation that looks more like skin. i know that it is wrong to compare it to BB cream, at the end of the day foundation gives you more coverage than BB cream, but I think I choose natural look over flawlessness. Dont get me wrong, I love this foundation and I probably will use it more after the summer, but I am not much of a foundation lover, so I dont use it all that often.

Çok sevdiğim ve sık kullandığım bir palet, iyi ki almışım diyorum. Hala CCO'larda satılıyorsa ve içindekilerden ayrı ayrı elinizde yoksa alınmasında fayda var. Zaten Tartan Tale koleksiyonunun tasarımı da çok şık.

I bought this face kit apprx. a year ago from CCO, and have been using it since then. This kit consists of 2 blushes and one beauty powder. I didn't know that the beauty powder existed at the bottom of the kit, I figured it out when I was looking for the comments about this product. It was a nice surprise. The blushes are Dame and Plum Foolery, both of which I love and had wanted to buy separately before I bought this palette. For the beauty powder, there is not much to say as I cant see its colour on my face UNLESS I apply it with a VERY dense brush and build up, which I dont prefer :D So I sometimes use it all over my cheeks to give a hint of colour (as a base). If you don't have these two blushes, I highly recommend it for people with fair skin like me. They both look amazing. And the packaging is also very cute <3.
